Welcome to Lawrenceburg Main Street in beautiful Lawrenceburg Indiana!

Lawrenceburg Main Street was formed in 1996 in partnership with the city of Lawrenceburg. This organization, incorporated as a 501 © 3 not-for-profit, invited the private sector of Lawrenceburg to create a strong, viable economic development effort to restore the historic business and residential neighborhoods. This new Board of Directors consisting of volunteers from community leaders, property owners, business owners and government embraced the National Main Street’s four point approach of Organization, Economic Development, Design and Promotion.

The Organization Committee is responsible for Fundraising and Membership Development, Election of Officers and Board Members, Compile a Volunteer File, Outstanding Volunteer Awards, Newsletter of Progress and Information, and Liaison to City of Lawrenceburg and Support Organizations.

The Economic Development Committee is responsible for Downtown Business Survey, Vacant Building Inventory, Consumer Surveys, and Money Spent on Downtown Survey, New Business Development, Business Recruitment/Retention and an Information Packet.

The Design Committee oversees the Awning and Sign Assistance Program, Low Interest Loan Program, Rendering/Photo Survey, Design Assistance Program, Gateway and Building Signs Assistance, Hanging Baskets, and Façade Improvement.

The Promotion Committee responsibilities are: Promoting New Businesses, Promote Positive Downtown Inage, Children’s Christmas Celebration, Santa’s Arrival, Window Decorating Contest, Christmas Parade, Spring Clean-up, and Festivals.
